HPM Craftsmen Named Best Contractor and Best Builder by Hudson Valley Magazine

We won Best Contractor. Then we found out we also won Best Builder. Then we found out no company had ever won both in the same year.

That's the kind of news that takes a minute to sink in.

Hudson Valley Magazine's 2026 Best Of Hudson Valley Awards are voted on by readers across the region — real homeowners in Dutchess, Orange, and Putnam counties who took the time to nominate and vote for the companies they trust. Winning one category would have meant a lot. Winning two, in the same year, is something we're still processing.

There's another piece of this I want to say plainly: HPM is a woman-owned company, and this is the first time in the award's history that a woman-owned company has won Best Contractor. I didn't start HPM in 2008 because the construction industry made it easy. It didn't. I started it because I believed we could do this work better — more honest communication, cleaner job sites, crews that show up when they say they will, and renovations that are actually worth what people pay for them. 18 years later, that's still the job.

This recognition belongs to the team. The tradespeople who show up every day and take pride in what they build. The project managers who keep clients informed even when the news isn't what anyone wanted to hear. The office staff who answer the phone. Everyone who has decided that HPM is worth their best work — this is yours.

To every client who voted: thank you. You chose to invite us into your homes during what is, let's be honest, one of the more stressful things you can do as a homeowner. That trust isn't something we take lightly.

We're already looking forward to the next project. If you're thinking about a renovation — an addition, a kitchen, a bathroom, or finally doing something about that layout that hasn't worked since you moved in — we'd love to talk.
